It is small, lightweight and easy to use. I was able to quickly see what the price would be in US Dollars prior to making a purchase. It worked perfectly. I am very glad I had it with me. I used this converter on my trip to Europe. The countries I visited used the Euro, so I didn't have to change the exchange rate. As the Euro is higher valued than the dollar, it helped me stop and think twice before buying an item that was costly.
It's ease of use and layout make it ideal for quickly calculating how much things cost in dollars. For anyone who travels abroad, this currency converter is a necessity. I've already worn out one.
Wish I had bought this thing sooner. I plan to buy these for all my traveling friends. Small, handy, easy to use. Of course, the taxi driver in Tahiti to whom I gave a $50 tip instead of a $5 tip would disagree.
Great little gadget very simple to use and fits right into your pocket/purse without taking up any room.
Go to a store and test these out before you purchase. I looked at the manual, and the particular ones that were sent to me were manufactured in 1989. I recently purchased two of these as stocking stuffers for my Mom and Sister since we are going to Italy in March. When I received them in the mail, I opened them up to make sure they worked, and they indeed did not work. I would definately not reccomend this item.
